I received a copy of the magazine, just steampunk! I love it and can be very proud, because they put my very first steampunk dragon in the magazine.

Besides this very happy news, I uploaded some new work to my etsy.

AND finally, I want to do a give-away, yeah! It's about time ;).

It has been over a month now that, but I've been quit busy with some work I wanted to finish for the big doll and bear fair, Ahoy, 28 and 29 October.
I finished the buste of the steampunk dragon, and am busy painting a new steampunk dragon and trying to finish up a fantasy figure.

Good morning,
here you can see some of the present boxes I made filled with miniatures.
Three with x-mas shabby chic style theme and three with halloween shabby chic style theme.
In the colours blue, pink and green, all off tone colours. I put some stick stuff to it, so you can easily get the items from the boxes and put them in your houses or else where.

has been quit some time.
My health is getting better every day now and the children went back to school, so some more playtime for me.
Saturday I will attend a small miniature fair and made some stuff for it, love it!
I made some display houses to show the miniatures I made in. Most of them I made 4 times or so, those will go for sale.

I made a fake cake last week for Ian's teacher, who had to leave school, so she could celebrate birthdays of the children in her class at the new school. I made several of those cakes for different teachers over the years, but they still like it, so I love to make it for them ;)

hi you all,
Welcome to the new followers !
It has been quit a while, last time was in April, then got ill and now it is gradually getting better, so time for some new challenges and finishing up started projects ;).
I painted the steampunk dragon on the clock. It is now completely finished but the most part has been done.
The tollhouse dollhouse has some good working lights now, just have to make some finishing touches to it, but will get there too.

Then I started up a new project, what will it be?? mmm a wall mounted dragon kind of steampunk creature? we will see where it will lead me ;).

Couldn't get the spirit with the polymer clay, need to make miniatures for an assignment but it just doesn't hit me right now, ideas plenty but... alas ...
So for the right feeling and being busy with clay again, I made this dragon of air dying clay on a piece of special wood. hope you like it.

Did some bits on the house. The floors have been made by embossing thin sheets of balsa wood.
The 2-way door has been placed on the ground-floor and a little fence kind of thing at the attick.
Also tried some little stuff with the balsa wood...

hi,
it has been some time now, due to some work on the apartment where we live.
We had to leave the house for two weeks because they made some heavy changes in the bathroom, toilet and kitchen. And now it is up to us, to make everything neat and liveable again.
Hopefully we get a lot of work done by the end of this week..
And more important for you guys, that I can get back into creating again, although by the 9th of July the kids will have their summer holidays, but we will see how things goes..

Hi,
it took some time, but finally got some new work.
I was asked to do an exposition with a miniature shop, so yes of course, would love that.
Only thing is, that I had to make some miniatures as well, I was going to for the big doll and bear show at Ahoy, so I took the challenge.
The pictures are not quit good, because most of them are taken by night ;) .
But will give an impression of what I have been busy with..

last weekend I did a speed workshop building dragons with air drying clay.
We had al lovely time, despite I only got 3 hours of sleep previous to it ;)
Unfortunately they could finish them all up, but they are going to work on them at home. Next weekend we are going to paint them, hopefully we have lot's of picture then too.

Hi there,
I just realized it has been a long time for I posted a blog....
Unfortunately my asthma was giving me a hard time the past 3 month but slowly it is getting better now by the day, so hopefully I'll be soon back into playing with clay ;) .
The only thing I got around to was making 2 fake birthday cakes, for the kindergarten, so they can blow out the candles for their birthday..

And some playing with fimo and making experimenting little charms...
It always helps to keep me quit and regulating my breath better...

Sinterklaas

Sinterklaas has left the country again.
The kids had a lovely time celebrating it at school, at home and a little party at my hubbies work.
The excitement and joy of the festivities and presents.... the old habit of putting their shoes in front of the fireplace... with gifts for the saint and his black Pieter ;), in return they get some candy or a little present...
The 5th of December there was a big bag with tons of presents for the children put out at the door, waiting for them to be opened..

here some impression of the party at the kindergarten of Ian, at work and at home.

I finally could finish two little pocket dragons, they are made in empty pocket watches.
One is a bit a chinese little dragon and the other one is a kind of steampunk dragon.
I put also some comparison photos with it, to show that they are rather small.

the 11th of November it was St. Maarten, the children walk by the doors to collect candy after singing songs and showing their own made lantern.
Allas were Ian and Anouschka ill, they could show theirs for a quick moment to their big sister and then had to go inside again, it was a pity they wanted to go so much, but their big sister collected so much candy she decided to share it with them...

we have returned from the fair at Ahoy.
We all had a lovely time and super fun.
Lots of nice reactions especially with my new work.
the steampunk dragon, the dragonbuste and the beastly deer were a big hit.
My Odin for the challenge this year, Mythology, was also a big hit.

the last piece is finished for the show this week.
Called it beastly deer, don't know another original name for it ;) .
The painting was a hell of a job, 'cause it is in colours that I don't use much, at least not on polymer and apoxie.

3. In my work I use a lot of bright colors and all kinds of colors, while my house is in white and grey tones.
4. I look relaxted, but actually my mind is an ongoing machine
5. I ragularly am standing in the shower still wearing my glasses
6. I started out sculpting little things and it looks like I'm going smaller and smaller again with my work..

finally some new blog.
sorry it took so long, but it is rather hectic here when the kids have their first schoolweeks.
I managed to finish some new work though.
hope you like it, the new beast has to wait for the apoxie to arrive, before I can go any futher.
At least I finished my Alice piece for a challenge, when it is possible I will show it here too.

Like I'm not busy with other things, I just started a new one ;)
But he just wanted to come out, so I made him.
It has been for long that I seiously tried to make something with polymer again, besides the smaller things..
Me, myself (and I, grinn) like the result so far. I'm going for a full sculpt, if this doesn't work out I will leave it a buste...

It has been awhile, o well, when the kids have their holidays, claying or creating for that matter is kept low.
Yesterday my hubby took the kids to the forests, so I had some time to myself and worked on a new dragon for a twigged circle and a little fellow for a latern.
I had the nerve to go a bit further with the dragon buste, it is still not the way I want it, but hopefully some day...

O, and I tried a woblling dragon type, a long way from finished...

Steampunk dragon

Yesterday I started the steampunk dragon, had the spirit to do it
Hubby was playing really nice in the background with his guitar...
I started out with wire for the arms, but they didn't seem to get in the right way, so I got them out and will in another stadium attach them again.

The start is there...
we'll see where it gets from here.

The eyes is an experiment of a neutral glass lens with paint underneath..

painting griffin...

Last saturday I had the chance to paint the griffin with good, normal daylight, instead of a daylight lamp. For the Griffin it was important, because of the colorscheme, it was so hard to tell if it was right or not.

I like the way the colors got closer to each other and will stop the paint job, afraid to ruin the effect it has right now.
Perhaps I will put some little ascessoires to it, but that's it.

If I want to experient more, I will start a new griffin/dragon to start from scratch again.

Fairy Fantasy anual dollmakers meet

Last saterday we had our anual dollmakers meet, this time with the witch Zwanette.
We had a lot of fun, talked a lot, could get eat our heart out, with all the stuff she has and had lot's of food, like dragonlegs ;).

Let's see what will bring us next year. First of all we are getting slowly ready for Ahoy, the international doll and bear show.

I started this doll about 6 months ago.
And slowely she is progressing.
She is still not finished but I'm getting there.
She has really sweettooth colors..
But I like it..
I tried a different kind of building a doll with her.

Griffin futher

I altered his eye, in color and the shape a bit.
The head has little scales now and some of the multicolors, like the body

I still have to look for some colorbalance and the maintain to get the neck adjust better to the head, but it will eventually.
The red is still not quit right on the photos it is the most hard color to get right in a picture, but I will keep op trying

hi,

I've been bussy all day, yesterday painting the griffin (over 12 hours)...
I don't know yet what to do or if I'm happy or not..
I'm going to take another look at him, but o well it is the perfect trial piece, so I will try everything with it

I do know I have to make the transition (hope this is the right word)between the neck and head more smooth..

Yesterday I had just a few moments to work on the dragon.
I tried to make the head more expressive and made him/her some horns (made with modena clay)
And some ears/flappers, those are still not attached, 'cause I don't know if I like them or if I will put them on the spot they are now...
a well tomorrow another day to make another try.

Today is another day. I attached the ears and some scales.
Was a bit too tired to do anything else.
This morning, very early I did some more scales. Hope to work some more this afternoon.

Dragon buste...

I've been bussy today with building a huge dragon for hanging on the wall.
I wanted to this for a very long time now and due to finding the blog of Misty Oakley
( http://realitysuckspeanutbutter.blogspot.com/ )
she makes some really nice dragons.
I saw she uses a PU form for the base of building a huge dragon.
So I ordered myself some PU shape of a deer and some glass eyes and started this morning.
I am making it with air drying clay, premier and had alot of scaling to do, over 5 hours, pfffff, got a sore wrist now
first attempt with styropor and cardboard and stuff...

The new one...
